About Pastor Robert C. Preece

Rev. Dr. Robert C. Preece is a seasoned Lutheran pastor with over 50 years of dedicated ministry, serving congregations with a heart for preaching, teaching, and global missions. Having led Zion Lutheran Church and School in Dallas, Texas, for more than three decades, Pastor Preece has overseen transformative capital campaigns, expanded ministry services, and guided congregations through spiritual growth and community outreach. With a passion for both local and international mission work, he has brought the gospel to regions as far as Africa, Mexico, and Cuba. Now transitioning into guest preaching and interim pastoral roles, Pastor Preece remains committed to sharing Christ’s love and wisdom, offering leadership and pastoral care to churches in need of guidance and support. His deep faith, coupled with decades of experience, continues to bless congregations throughout the Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS) and beyond. Some highlights of Pastor Preece’s service in the Church over his 50 year career:

  • Served as vice president of the Texas District, Area B​
  • Served on the board of directors for Lutheran Social Services of the south. ​
  • Served on the board of directors for the American Luther Research Center.​
  • Served on the board of directors of the Dallas Bach Society.​
  • Served as chair on the Ft. Worth Lutheran Hymn Festival Committee​
